Jennifer Quirk is the Managing Director and founder of UK Renewable & Electrical Solutions Ltd (UKRES), bringing over 20 years of experience in sales, customer service and business management to the company.

Before launching UKRES, Jennifer built an extensive career in retail and sales, including 12 years with Burton, where she spent three years as Deputy Manager. During this time, she developed valuable experience in team leadership, customer relations, sales performance, staff development and the day-to-day management of a busy commercial environment.

In 2025, Jennifer founded UK Renewable & Electrical Solutions with a clear vision: to combine her extensive commercial and sales experience with high-quality electrical and renewable energy services, creating a company built on professionalism, reliability, customer care and long-term reputation.

Jennifer plays a central role in the continued growth and development of UKRES, overseeing the commercial direction of the business, customer relationships, sales strategy and the overall customer journey. Her focus is not simply on winning work, but on building lasting relationships and ensuring customers receive a professional, honest and dependable service from initial enquiry through to project completion.

Under Jennifer’s leadership, UKRES continues to expand across the electrical contracting and renewable energy sectors, delivering services including electrical installations, solar PV, battery storage, EV charging and commercial electrical solutions.

Her ambition is to establish UKRES as a trusted and recognised name within the electrical and renewable energy industry, known for excellent service, strong technical standards and a genuine commitment to its customers.

Lee Curtis is a highly experienced, time-served electrician and a valued member of the UK Renewable & Electrical Solutions Ltd (UKRES) team.

With extensive knowledge gained across many areas of the electrical industry, Lee brings a wealth of practical experience to every project he undertakes. Over the course of his career, he has worked across a broad range of electrical installations, fault finding, testing, inspection and renewable energy systems, giving him the technical understanding and hands-on ability to tackle even the most challenging jobs.

Lee is known for his exceptionally high standards of workmanship and his determination to achieve a flawless finish on every installation. His attention to detail, pride in his work and genuine care for the end result are qualities that regularly stand out to our customers and contribute greatly to the reputation UKRES has built for professional, high-quality workmanship.

As well as being a fully qualified electrician, Lee is also trained and qualified in Solar PV and Battery Storage systems, allowing him to play an important role in the delivery of UKRES renewable energy projects.

Lee also acts as the company’s MCS Qualified Supervisor (QS), supporting UKRES in maintaining the technical standards, quality procedures and compliance requirements expected within the renewable energy sector.

His combination of traditional electrical experience and modern renewable energy expertise makes Lee an important part of the UKRES technical team. Whether carrying out electrical contracting work, diagnosing faults, completing remedial works or delivering solar and battery installations, Lee approaches every project with the same commitment to quality, safety and customer satisfaction.

There isn’t much in the electrical industry that Lee hasn’t encountered over the years, and his experience, knowledge and commitment to getting the job right make him a highly valued member of UK Renewable & Electrical Solutions Ltd.

Jon Midford is the Electrical Contracts & Installations Manager and current NICEIC Qualified Supervisor for UK Renewable & Electrical Solutions Ltd (UKRES), bringing almost three decades of experience within the electrical industry.

Jon began his career in 1997 straight from school, completing a full electrical apprenticeship and becoming a time-served electrician. His career quite literally started at the bottom — with a broom in his hand — before progressing through the trade and working his way into senior technical, management and business leadership roles.

A significant part of Jon’s early career was spent with Format Electrics, where he gained around 10 years of invaluable experience and learned his trade working alongside highly skilled and experienced electricians. That grounding helped shape the standards, work ethic and attention to detail that have remained central throughout his career.

Since 2005, Jon has been involved in running and managing electrical businesses, developing extensive experience across electrical installation, design, contracts management, project delivery, testing and inspection, compliance and renewable energy technologies.

His experience goes far beyond carrying out installations. Over the years Jon has been heavily involved in recruiting, employing, training and mentoring electricians and apprentices, helping individuals develop their skills, qualifications and careers within the industry. Supporting the next generation of electricians remains something he takes great pride in.

As UKRES’s NICEIC Qualified Supervisor, Jon plays a key role in maintaining the company’s electrical standards, technical compliance and quality of workmanship. His extensive practical knowledge means he understands projects from both the engineer’s and the customer’s perspective, from initial design and planning through to installation, testing, certification and final handover.

Jon is a highly focused, hardworking and commercially minded professional who takes enormous pride in everything he does. He believes that strong businesses are built through quality workmanship, technical competence, reliability, good communication and looking after the people involved.

After almost 30 years in the industry, his approach remains the same as when he first started: never stop learning, never lower your standards and always strive to be better than you were yesterday.
